It all started with a true desire to build a home that would support US not that we would support! An Earthship is a tire structure where the walls are tires packed solid with earth to form a large brick. Packed in place as it is built ,it becomes an almost INDESTRUCTIBLE building. Interior non-load bearing  walls are made from aluminum cans and motor.  This type of structure makes a very comfortable and lovely home. Labor intensive but once it’s built ……it’s BUILT!

I had a grant to build parts of this structure to show a recycling method for waste tires. Tires are a MAJOR problem in the landfills. If you have questions about our Earthship Home feel free to ask or better yet come see this wonderful home!
