Meet The Jalvings

Picture
Located just outside of the historical little community of Lake Helen, Florida our 10 acre  farm is a little piece of “Heaven on Earth”, at least for Tom and I. Our goal has been to get as self-sufficient as possible and have fun doing it!  Another goal is to breed and raise extremely high quality animals., with the stuff to be show animals but  mostly going to very loving homes where they will be treasured family members.

The farm is FULL and busy! Horses, Great Danes, chickens, cats, honey bees and assorted other critters!  All that plus a year round garden.

Our home is an “Earthship."  A tire house, built with rammed earth and an uncountable number of aluminum cans!  We have an environmental award from the state of Florida on the house for it’s amazing use of recycling of things that are considered waste.

The farm is an amazing place and we invite you to come join the fun sometime!

Jalving Farms is located in Lake Helen, FL
Lake Helen is a "Mayberryesk" little town . A town where horses still have the right of way and home town parades on holidays bring out all the horses arrayed in holiday garb! Ice cream trucks still roam the streets with their tastey treats, Rocking chairs adorn the Bank porch and a hitching rail at the 7-11. A park and a lake in the middle of the late 1800's community, with many historical old homes to view. Our little farm is right outside town and is OUR little piece of paradise!
